Maritime Heritage Alliance 25rd Annual Boat Auction

Saturday,  June 11th at the
“Discovery Center - Great Lakes” campus on M-22

Viewing begins at 9am, auction begins at 11am

The Maritime Heritage Alliance Annual Boat Auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year, and your boat donation or purchase of a boat makes this possible.

Over the past the past 28 years, MHA has sold hundreds of boats and raised thousands of dollars to help preserve our maritme heritage. Money raised through the sale of donated boats keep MHA's fleet afloat and assist in the expansion of our restoration shops and educational and mentoring programs.

Maritime Heritage Alliance is a 501 (c)3 non-profit organization, and donations are tax-deductable to the full extent of the IRS code. Donations are still needed and we will gladly arrange to pick up your boat, handle all the paperwork, and make it as easy as possible to make a donation.

Turn your unwanted boat into a tax deduction. You can avoid all the headaches of selling a used boat -- no expensive want ads, no taking phone calls, no showing the boat, no price haggling.  MHA volunteers will pick up the boat if you are unable to bring it to the Auction site. Individuals donating a boat are doing more than eliminating expenses and enjoying tax benefits; they are supporting the many educational programs provided by the Maritime Heritage Alliance. These include their at-risk youth sailing program, boat restoration mentoring program and their historic fleet, including the schooner Madeline and the armed sloop Welcome, which are the only two ships recognized by the State of Michigan for their historical significance and serve as living historical museums.
